In the Archive of Independent Publishing at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, independent print media from the 1960s and 70s are stored in grey boxes. The work explores how digital technologies can provide access to information and change the archive of today.

In collaboration with Bremen’s local cinema City 46, Radau Kollektiv is organizing a film evening that creates intersections between experimental film and music. Film sequences overlap in the poster and form an atmospheric motif. Designed with Max Diemair.

Patchwriting as Hacking Practice
Hacking as Design Practice

By intertwining the statements of four designers and hackers together, a narrative takes form. The texts by and about Hackers & Designers, Sheila Levrant de Bretteville, McKenzie Wark and Ruben Pater can be read as a converation, discussion or manifest. The booklet is an experimental approach to different ways of reading and writing.

Garage Display

Garage was created on the basis of Robert Thorne‘s Two Lines Great Primer, No. 1, which is part of the type specimen Improved Printing Types (1803), a collection of early modern shapes.

Garage is inspired by the high-contrast form, and evolved into two stylistic sets that emphasize different characteristics. The typeface was later published in the ZHdK publication Is Every Typeface A Revival?

Hydrosocialities

Hydrosocialities is a collaborative network that gathers together scholars across anthropology and geography in Germany and beyond. It aims to bridge established hydrological and scholarly divides across the marine and freshwater social sciences and humanities and thus thinks across salt and freshwater: oceans, rivers, lakes, lagoons, and deltas as well as rain, clouds and ice.

Design for a concert series at Lagerhaus in Bremen. Organized by Radau Kollektiv, with artists Epilog, Mira Mann and Carls8erg.

The design focuses on the interplay of three different voices in the format of posters, motion and sound sensitive visuals. The layers interact and form varying images.

Font in use is OCR-X, designed by Eurostandard and Maximage.
